Security for Your Credit Card
and Personal Data
Our shopping cart and online ordering forms use up-to-date SSL-encrypted
security to protect your credit card and personal information. And our
credit card data handling practices comply with the Payment
Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). This standard has
strict security requirements for gathering, storing, and transmitting
credit card data, and for manual data handling practices as well. Your credit card information is always transmitted and
stored in encrypted (not human readable) form. Even we
cannot access it without a unique combination of secure software and
special, customized hardware!
Paper documents (mailed orders) holding
credit card information are protected from
unauthorized access while in our possession and are destroyed (incinerated)
soon after processing, in compliance with the PCI-DSS
standard.

Payment Methods
We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and PayPal on all orders.
Additionally, for mail-in and telephone orders we also accept business
or personal checks, and money orders.

PayPal Details:
PayPal (www.paypal.com) is an
international payment transfer and currency conversion service. If you
choose to pay via PayPal, after you have placed your order you will
receive an email from PayPal requesting payment. To make payment,
click on a Web link provided in the email, which leads to your
transaction's page on the PayPal site. If you have a PayPal account you may transfer funds from it to Flagship Technologies. If
you don't have a PayPal account you can make payment using a credit
card or bank transfer. PayPal supports these payment sources:

All orders placed with us are specified in U.S. dollars. However,
PayPal can make the conversion from any of several currencies to U.S.
dollars at the then-current exchange rate. (Note to non-U.S.
purchasers: PayPal charges a fee for currency exchanges--2.5% at
the time of this writing. See the fee schedule at www.PayPal.com
for current charges.)
Purchase Orders:
We accept Purchase Orders (POs) for orders of $300 or larger from recognized educational
institutions only--schools, colleges, universities, Extension
Service, etc. We may check credentials associated with any PO and
reserve the right to decline acceptance of any PO. To order using a
Purchase Order number:
- If ordering by mail, write your PO number on the order
form in any available space, clearly identified as "PO#:
.....", etc.
- If ordering online, include the PO number as "PO#:
....." in the Comment box which you see toward the end of
order checkout.
- Always include information for the appropriate Accounts Payable
contact at your institution (you may include this in the Comment box
along with the PO#):
Mailing address (and/or email address) where our invoice should be
mailed.
Telephone number.
Name of a contact person at the office.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are calculated by weight.
To estimate shipping charges before placing an order, add
the desired items to your shopping cart, then proceed to checkout
(click on any View Shopping Cart button). Fill in the order
information as requested until you reach a screen which shows the
order's shipping & handling charges. From there you may either
continue or cancel the order. (If you cancel, none of your personal
information is saved.)
U.S. Orders
- Online orders: Our minimum shipping & handling charge is
$6.00 per order except when no physical product will
be delivered. For instance, if you purchase a software license
online and if we can
send the license registration to you by email,
then no shipping & handling charge will be applied.
- Mail and phone orders: Our minimum shipping &
handling charge is $8.00 per order for all non-online orders.
Instructions for calculating actual shipping charges on mail orders are found on our printable order form.
For phone orders, we calculate shipping & handling charges for
you as part of the telephone order process.
Canadian Orders
Shipping to Canada is calculated as our base per-order shipping
& handling fee + the Canadian order
surcharge shown at the top of all our order checkout pages.
The surcharge covers higher shipping costs to Canada plus the
requirement that we complete a U.S. Customs form for each shipment to
Canada. We regret the additional cost, and hope to have less
expensive shipping options--for books at least--by late 2013.
Other International Orders
Shipping charges for non-US orders are calculated as our minimum
per-order handling fee + actual shipping charges to your
destination. Please contact us if you wish to
know the actual shipping charges before ordering online.
Sales Tax
We collect Missouri sales tax on orders shipped to Missouri
addresses. For orders delivered by email we collect Missouri sales tax
if the address of the credit card holder or checking account is a
Missouri address.
Sales Tax Resale Numbers
If you have a valid Missouri Tax ID and wish to purchase products
for resale (i.e., you will apply sales tax when the products are sold
at retail), please email sales@goflagship.com
or call 660-291-3000 about sending us a copy of your tax letter. Sales
tax is not refundable on any orders placed before your tax
letter is on file with us.
Coupons
If you have a coupon for a Flagship Technologies product, you
may redeem it by entering the Coupon Code in the
Coupon Code box
when completing an online order.
Our online ordering system currently does not
reflect the coupon discount when calculating the order total. However, the Shipping Confirmation email you receive from us
will
show the correct total after including the discount.
Online credit card purchases charge the original (un-discounted)
total to your credit card, so in those cases we will refund the coupon
discount to you as either a credit/refund to your credit card account
or as a check sent to you by mail.

Delivery Times
Please
contact us if you have not received
your order as follows:
- Allow 10 business days for delivery of physical items like CDs or
books, which are shipped by mail or a delivery service.
- Allow 3 business days for delivery of items delivered by
email, such as software Registration codes.
Product Guarantee

Books, CDs, and Other Physical
Items
Physical items are guaranteed for a period of 30 days against
defects in materials and workmanship. If you receive an item you
believe to be defective, contact us for a replacement. Our guarantee
is limited to replacement of the defective item(s).
Software Products and Other Machine-Readable Items
We provide no guarantee of any kind for software
products, document files, or other machine-readable items.
We offer free trial periods of full-working versions of our
software products so that you may examine them for yourself to see
if they provide the features and capabilities you need. And, most
document files, etc., are freely downloadable from our Web site.
Once you've purchased a license for a software product, the license
is not returnable/refundable.

Books
If purchased directly from Flagship Technologies, Inc., retail
book sales qualify for a full refund of the purchase price,
excluding shipping, if returned in resalable condition within
10 days of purchase and by following the Product
Return Steps listed below.
Wholesale book orders may also be returned in resalable condition
but incur a 15% restocking fee. Please contact us first...books
returned without prior return authorization will be refused.
CDs
Software and "Demo" CDs are NOT returnable for
refund.
Software Licenses
Software product licenses are NOT returnable for refund. All
of our software products have a full working trial version available, which lets you try
the actual software on your computer--along with full access to our technical support
resources--without any restrictions or limitations, for a trial
period of normally 30 days or more.
We strongly recommend that you use install and use our software for the trial period
before
buying a software license. If some circumstance prevents you from
taking full advantage of the trial period--maybe you were ill,
or your computer wasn't working part of the time--please contact customer service and
we
will be glad to extend the trial period for you.
Products purchased from a dealer
Products you purchase from a third-party dealer may only be returned to the
dealer, subject to the dealer's policies for returns, refunds, and
exchanges. |
Product Return Steps:
As described above, software CDs and software licenses are NOT RETURNABLE FOR
REFUND. Other products such as books are
returnable in good condition, within the return period described for
the product.
All returns require prior telephone or email
authorization from Flagship Technologies, Inc. Products
returned without first obtaining a Return Authorization Number (RAN) will
be refused and returned to sender.
Return packages must include a completed Product Return
card (one is enclosed with each order of returnable products) so
that we can properly issue a refund.
Protecting Your Privacy
We will never intentionally divulge your email address or other personal information to any third party without your

Dealer Program
If you'd like details on being a dealer for Flagship Technologies
products, click here. There's no inventory
to stock and nothing to buy. You can earn commissions on a surprisingly
low annual sales volume.
