Profit & Loss
|
-
Our Profit & Loss reports can have quantity totals & statistics:
sales quantities, average prices received and paid, and more.
-
ManagePLUS
supports two quantities per QuickBooks
transaction. If your business buys or sells commodities,
your reports can show both the "weight" and
"count" of items bought or sold--i.e., pounds and
pallets sold, plus average weight per pallet; or for
livestock, pounds and number of head sold, plus average weight
per head.

This Profit & Loss by
Quarter illustrates one of the many available report period variations
(Day, Week, Two-week, Half-month,
Month, Quarter, Year, etc.).

Profit & Loss with Classes
|
-
Crop & Livestock Farm
Business Example: The Profit & Loss with Classes report
provides a Class-by-Class
breakdown for each account, including quantity totals and statistics and
an analysis of income and expenses per unit of production
or use for each Class. Production and use information can
be changed on
the report's Supplement sheet, as described below.
The second page of the report is a Supplement sheet
which holds production
and use quantities--the number of
acres, pallets, cases, hours, units, miles, etc., associated
with each Class. The main report's
calculations reference this information, so production or use
data only needs to be changed in this one place to update the entire report's
per-unit analysis figures for any class.

-
Haul-Rite Trucking, LLC Example:
This Profit & Loss with Classes report is a
simplified example for a trucking company. It shows truck
revenue and expenses on a per-mile basis, including
related statistics such as average fuel cost per gallon,
average fuel consumption per mile, etc. Mileage information
for each truck comes from the report's Supplement sheet
as described below.
The second page of the report is a Supplement sheet
which in this case holds information about the miles driven by
each truck (i.e., for each truck class). As in the farm
example above, this provides a single location where miles
driven by a truck can be changed to update the entire report's
per-unit analysis for that truck.

Profit Analysis
(ManagePLUS Gold only)
|
-
Think of a Profit Analysis report as being like a
Profit & Loss report for a cost center or profit center
class but with allocated amounts, shown in a separate
section of the report.
Profit Analysis reports can be generated at any class
(cost center or profit center) level, including parent levels,
and include the same kinds of
per-unit statistics as other reports.

Month, but Day, Week, Quarter, and other period types are

|
|
|

sold by Month, but Day, Week, Quarter, and other period types
are available too.
Optionally, this report can also show quantity
flows by Class too, if you want.
|
|
|
-
Livestock Sales Example: This Quantity Flows by Quarter with Classes illustrates
that you can include relevant quantity-related statistics in a
quantity flows report; in this case, livestock sales
quantities, average prices
per head and per pound, and average selling weights.
