ManagePLUS
early-bird pricing has been extended
It's been quite a summer here in
the central Midwest! Record flooding in July and August kept
everyone busy--whether you were a farmer worried about late
planting and flooded crops, a businessperson concerned about how
heavy rains and $4.00 gasoline might affect your clientele, a
volunteer filling sandbags or helping with flood relief, or just
someone trying to figure out how to make it to your job through an
maze of swollen streams, closed roads, and detours.
Admittedly this is a local
perspective--the weather wasn't severe everywhere. Even so, summer
is always a busy time--for work, play, vacations, and being
outdoors as much as we can manage to be. It's also a time when
most people don't think much about accounting, or analyzing
records, or computers in general. (And that's probably how it
ought to be!) All things
considered, summer probably isn't the best time of year to offer
special early-bird pricing on accounting- and management-related
software.
So for those of you who didn't
have time to try out the new release of ManagePLUS for QuickBooks,
version 2.0, and for those of you who wanted to buy it but
forgot--in the midst of "too much going on"--we've
extended the early-bird pricing program on ManagePLUS for
QuickBooks through the end of this year, December
31, 2008.
Everyone who buys ManagePLUS for
QuickBooks by December 31, 2008 will save
$50 off of the regular retail price--that's $99
for new ManagePLUS licenses, or $79 if you're upgrading from any
prior ManagePLUS 1.x version.
Extending the early-bird pricing
program actually has two benefits:
- It gives you some
"breathing room"--more time this fall and early
winter to try the new ManagePLUS with our own records, to see
what it can do for you.
A trial version of ManagePLUS is available as a free
download from our Web site. Once you've
installed it, it works in trial mode for up to 30 days--we'll
even extend the trial period if you need more time (just ask).
- It gives us some
"breathing room" too--an opportunity to add more
features to ManagePLUS (described below); to prove our
commitment to expanding and extending the product by building
in features that make it a "must have" QuickBooks
add-on for you.

New
ManagePLUS features coming soon!
We can't release details just
yet, but for now we can tell you that there will be a significant
upgrade release of ManagePLUS for QuickBooks before the end of
this year. The upgrade will focus on expanding ManagePLUS'
reporting features, giving you a lot more basic reporting options
as well as supporting more complex reports for those of you who
always "want more". Here are a few tidbits to whet your
appetite for the new features:
- Like QuickBooks, ManagePLUS
will have numerous "automatic" reporting periods
available, like Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc.
- Unlike QuickBooks,
you'll be able to include any reporting periods you want on a
single report. Want to compare numbers for the 1st quarter of
years 2006, 2007, and 2008 on one report? You'll be able to do
that!
- Unlike QuickBooks,
the multiple periods you choose to include on a report can be
limited to quantity information--or actually, any
report columns. Want to see a report showing sales quantities
by month (including correct units of measure, average price
received, etc.) for the past 18 months? That will be an easy
report to produce, after the upgrade.
Stay tuned...we'll let you know
when the upgrade is available, some time this fall.
One more thing: the upgrade
will of course be free of charge
for those who have purchased a ManagePLUS for QuickBooks 2.x
software license.

Now:
get all of our software on a single CD
The usual way to try any of our
software products is to download its installation program from our
Web site, www.goflagship.com,
then run the installation program to install the product on your
computer. But what if you
have a slow Internet connection or you'd prefer having the
software on CD for safekeeping?
Our prior newsletter mentioned
that ManagePLUS was available on CD. But we've expanded the CD's
contents to include all our software products: ManagePLUS
for QuickBooks, Catch
Weights for QuickBooks, and FormCalc
for QuickBooks. The CD also has other goodies
too, like the same videos you'll find on our Web
site for each software product. So now a slow Internet connection
won't keep you from seeing the useful information you'll find in
our software product videos. There's also a copy of the ManagePLUS
User's Guide as a .PDF file, which you may print out to have
a printed manual for ManagePLUS.
With this one CD you can install
trial versions of any of our products. And after trying them if
you decide to continue using any of them you only need to buy the
software license for it. When you do, we'll send you a
Registration Code to type into the trial version you already have
installed on your computer, turning it into a fully licensed
copy--there's no other software to install, nothing to change or
reconfigure.
How to get the CD? Visit our
online ordering page: http://www.goflagship.com/orders/onlineorders.htm,
where you can order the Flagship Technologies Software CD
for a small charge (currently $10) plus shipping & handling.
