FullSpeed Is...

If you've ever used word processing software you probably know what a macro  is:  a set of commands you can quickly set up to do some repetitive job—like adding or deleting characters at the beginning or end of several lines of text. FullSpeed lets you set up and run macros in other programs...but with a huge difference from word processor macros:  FullSpeed's macros are spreadsheet based.  By setting up a few spreadsheet formulas in FullSpeed's internal spreadsheet, you can repetitively read data, do calculations, and write calculated results into other programs.

What programs? In its first release, FullSpeed has been tested to work with QuickBooks Online ( qbo.intuit.com), Xero ( xero.com), and QuickBooks desktop editions ( QuickBooks.com). We expect to quickly expand the number of applications FullSpeed works with, so check our Web site often for updates!

"Big deal", you might say, "Microsoft Windows has a calculator, and so do many of the programs I use. Why would I need another one?" Well, yes, Windows has a calculator, but it's a very simple calculator. The same is true of the calculators available in programs like QuickBooks. FullSpeed has two tremendous advantages:  (1) it gives you the power of a spreadsheet—date math, if-then logic, text manipulation, and advanced built-in functions like COUNT and AVERAGE—and (2) it gives you the power to automate calculations; that is, to apply a handful of spreadsheet formulas repeatedly and automatically on multiple lines of data in another program.

How is FullSpeed Different from FormCalc and FormCalc SST?

FormCalc and FormCalc SST are related products of ours, which work solely with the desktop editions of QuickBooks (Pro, Premier, Accountant, Enterprise, etc.). The main way FullSpeed differs from them, is that it can work with applications running in a Web browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox—i.e., with cloud-based applications such as QuickBooks Online and Xero.

As we mentioned above, FullSpeed works with the desktop editions of QuickBooks too. So why would anyone want FormCalc or FormCalc SST? Well, FormCalc is simpler to set up, especially if you are unfamiliar with using a spreadsheet. And FormCalc SST has some special QuickBooks-specific features. For a general list of the feature differences in these three products, see the product comparison page (http://www.goflagship.com/products/sstcompare.htm) on our Web site.
