Column math.  Basically any spreadsheet calculation you can think of can be done between columns in the detail (Item rows) area of a QuickBooks form.

Chain calculations.  Calculations are not limited to two columns. As in any spreadsheet, formulas can refer to any number of columns on the QuickBooks form, as well as any number of fields in the form's header and footer.

Text manipulation. Want special comments, customer messages, or descriptions to be automatically created based on other data on a QuickBooks form? FormCalc SST can do that!

Subtotals and totals. QuickBooks can display subtotals for the Amount column of an Invoice, but FormCalc SST can subtotal or total any numeric column.

Selective subtotals and totals. With its If-Then logic capabilities, FormCalc SST can be set up to total only certain items in a column; for instance, only the taxable items, or only "on sale" items.

Like any spreadsheet, FormCalc SST can do date and time calculations; things like calculating the number of hours or days which have elapsed between two date/time values.

An equipment rental business can use it to calculate the number of days equipment has been out on rental, based on OUT and IN dates entered on an Invoice:

FormCalc SST can access most header and footer fields. You can enter data in a header field, say, as a factor to use in calculations on each row of the form.

Write results to header and footer fields.  Not only can FormCalc SST access header and footer field data, it can also write results to them.

Lets you use of custom field data in calculations. QuickBooks can automatically include custom field data from the Item, Customer, or Vendor lists on QuickBooks forms. Because it can access this data, FormCalc SST allows your calculations to be individualized for specific items, customers, or vendors.

Lots of formatting options:  decimal places, commas, currency symbols, date and time formats, and more.

Mixed fractions. Send calculated results to QuickBooks as mixed fractions if you want.

Example:  A lumber yard operator or HVAC contractor might use FormCalc SST to calculate a result of 1.75, but they'd like it displayed on QuickBooks invoices as 1-3/4 (one and three-quarters). FormCalc SST can do that!

This unique feature lets formulas access data from several different rows of a QuickBooks form, to do complicated calculations.

Here's a QuickBooks invoice from one of the Problem Solved™ examples. The area highlighted in red at the bottom shows sales-taxable and non-taxable freight and fuel surcharges. These four rows were calculated by FormCalc SST with formulas which access data from prior rows on the invoice.

Another point:  The two fields highlighted in the header area are examples of how FormCalc SST can read/write data and results in the header and footer of QuickBooks forms. In this case, FormCalc SST has written totals for freight and fuel surcharges into header fields.
