The Javelin3 Reader contains a catalog which lists our ebooks and free publications, giving you direct access to all of them with just a few mouse clicks!

How to find and open the catalog...

1.Run the Javelin3 application.

One of the items on Javelin's main page is a Browse Catalogs link:

2.Click the Browse Catalogs link.

Javelin will display icons representing catalogs from many different publishers. The catalog for our publications will be labeled Flagship Publications, or something similar:

3.Click the Flagship Publications icon.

(If Javelin asks to download the catalog, click "Yes" to allow the download.)

You'll be taken to the main page of our catalog, giving you access to ebooks, free publications, and Javelin user guides (for details about using advanced Javelin features, just in case you want to know):

4.Clicking on the Flagship EBooks icon (see the screenshot above) will open a section of the catalog displaying the ebooks we have available for purchase:

❖Clicking one of the ebook icons will open that publication. (If the ebook has not yet been downloaded, Javelin will download it first--which takes only a few seconds).

The first time you open an ebook Javelin will require that you enter an Authorization Code (sent to you by email immediately after ebook purchase).

Sample and FREE publications do not require an Authorization Code.

❖Right-clicking any publication icon displays a menu of options for the publication, including an Info option which displays an expanded description of the publication.

5.Icons in the secondary toolbar help you navigate and manage the catalog:

The Refresh icon is important! Click it whenever you want to download the most current version of a catalog or catalog section. You must manually refresh the catalog in this way, to see new publications we have released since the last time you refreshed the catalog.

6.If you don't see the Flagship Publications icon in Javelin's main catalog, you can download our catalog manually by clicking the main toolbar's Document icon, then entering this address (URL) in the Download Document window:  

www.goflagship.com/flagshipcatalog.zip

On mobile devices the Javelin Reader lets you download a catalog of information about all of our ebooks, then simply touch icons in the catalog to automatically download ebooks, as well as free and sample publications.

To get the catalog:

1.Open the Javelin Reader app.

2.Press the download icon at the right end of the toolbar. It may look different on different devices...

3.Download the catalog file from this address: www.goflagship.com/flagshipcatalog.zip

The catalog will download, then appear as a folder in Javelin Reader. (Several other folders may be present.)

4.Open the flagshipcatalog catalog by pressing its icon.

Any catalog level may contain folders like the EBooks and FREE Stuff folders in the screenshot below, which divide the catalog into categories (sub-catalogs), as well as catalog entries such as the Javelin User's Guide entries in the screenshot, which represent ebooks or documents you can open for viewing.

So the catalog will be quick to use, Javelin does not download folder contents or catalog entries until you press on their respective icons, as described next.

5.Open the Flagship EBooks folder by pressing its icon.

If Javelin has not yet downloaded the folder, it will ask for permission to download it:

After a folder or catalog entry has been downloaded, the small square above and to the right of its icon will change color:

After downloading, press the icon a second time to open the item.

6.To open a catalog entry for reading, press on its icon.

If Javelin has not yet downloaded the item, it will ask for permission to download it as described above.

After downloading, the item's icon may change, as shown here:

After downloading, press the icon a second time to open the it.

If the ebook you purchased is not visible in the catalog, press the Refresh icon to update the catalog on your device: iPad and iPhone users can also visit the following Web page for more details about refeshing the catalog on your device: https://drmz.net/email-templates/email_ios.htm

7.The first time you open a purchased ebook, Javelin will prompt you to enter the item's Authorization Code.

Free items in the catalog are marked "Free" or "Sample" and do not require an Authorization Code.

You can manage any item in the catalog by long-pressing on its icon, which will display the item's menu. (The menu won't contain many options until you download the item.) Use the menu options to get information about the item or manage its file.

Older versions of Javelin did not support catalogs (described in other topics above), so we provided the links below to allow downloading ebooks directly. This should no longer be necessary for any current Javelin version. We will continue to provide these direct downloading links for some time however, in case you happen to need them.

You need an Authorization Code—received at the time of purchase—to open these ebooks.
