This dialog lets you allocate income or expense to cost center and/or profit center classes, in ManagePLUS Gold. We show it here because (1) it is an important dialog—one you will use often if you use the allocation features of ManagePLUS Gold—and (2) it serves as a good example of common allocation dialog features. You can display this dialog from either the Chart of Accounts window or Classes window in ManagePLUS Gold by pressing the F2 key, or by double-clicking in the OUT (allocated to others) column on the desired account or class row, respectively. Allocated OUT (to others) Dialog Left-pane grid (allocations list) Lists the allocation formulas you have entered for the account or class being allocated. The grid columns are:
Right-pane tree (cost centers and profit centers tree) This tree view shows your cost centers and profit centers, and the allocations assigned to them. Account or class being allocated Name of the account or class being allocated to cost centers and/or profit centers by this dialog. Add row button Clicking here adds a new, blank row to the allocations list (the left-pane grid). Delete row button Clicking here deletes the current row from the allocations list. Goto button Clicking here jumps to the cost center or profit center item of the current row, after closing this dialog. Drag tokens Drag one of these tokens onto a cost center or profit center in the tree (in the right pane), to add a new allocation formula row to the list. [%] - adds a new Percentage allocation row. [A] - adds a new Mgmt. Qty A allocation row. [B] - adds a new Mgmt. Qty B allocation row. Tree Options menu button Clicking here displays a menu of options for managing the right-pane tree, such as expanding or collapsing all tree branches, etc. Prior/Next allocated item buttons Clicking one of these lets you move backward or forward through the tree, stopping only at tree nodes which have allocations targeting them (useful if your tree is very large).
